The Heron And The Robin Fly Together
The Robin Hill Adventure Park has today announced its exciting new partnership
with Alex Kimber, Executive Chef and Owner of Heron Food IOW.
Alex has been on the Isle of Wight for the last five years building The Heron
restaurants in Ryde and Cowes, and more recently, The Braii at Nunwell Farm.
The Heron at Robin Hill is to be a seated restaurant with an open plan kitchen and
bar with inside/outside dining options. Located at the very top of the park, diners will
enjoy panoramic views sweeping down across the valley and up to Brading Downs.
Focusing on farm to fork ethical dining, the restaurant will be smokehouse style with
BBQ grill menus using a collaboration of suppliers from Nunwell Farm and the wider
farming community on the Isle of Wight.
Alex is also working with the in-house catering team at Robin Hill, helping with menu
suggestions for existing food and beverage outlets which will continue to provide a
wide range of hot and cold food options across the park.
The new Robin Hill Partnership, headed up by local businessman and CEO Lee
Priddle, has spent the last six months investing in the Island adventure park which
opens in April with over 15 new attractions for the 2025 season including real mini
diggers, crazy golf, a boat safari and an indoor ice rink.
Lee Priddle says: “We couldn’t be more delighted about Alex joining us at Robin Hill,
he’s an incredibly talented chef and the Heron Food IOW brand is a perfect fit with
our ambition to provide a premium offering to our visitors.”
Alex Kimber says: “Robin Hill is an awesome location and we are super excited to be
working with these guys. The Heron at Robin Hill further cements what we aim to
achieve on the Island, to deliver an outstanding dining experience for guests using
the finest locally sourced ingredients.”
The Heron at Robin Hill is due to open in early summer this year and will accessible
to the general public in addition to Robin Hill visitors.
